Ph.D. Student, Computer Engineering

Hi, My name is Li Xue. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D., majoring in Computer Engineering at University of California, Santa Cruz. My research interests include wireless and wireline network technologies, network security, and machine learning. Currently, I am working on device fingerprinting techniques enabled by capturing and modeling inherent physical features of a device to help solving security challenges or to improve network security in general. These techniques may apply to different applications, including distributed networks.
I graduated from Tianjin University in China, with a Master in Telecommunication & Information System, specialized in computer networking protocols. Before joining UCSC, I worked in industry, on Ethernet, VPN, MPLS, cellular network protocols, fixed and mobile network convergence, and SDN. Email: xueli@ucsc.edu
